This chimney cowl will not prevent a downdraught when there is no wind if the problem still exists when there is no wind (in conditions such as cold, calm and frost) the problem is a lack of draught and an electric chimney cowl is required such as the Super C Electric Fan Chimney Cowl No anti downdraught chimney cowl can solve a lack of draught.
Will not prevent a downdraught if the chimney is more than 4 feet lower than the apex of the roof or 4 feet lower and in proximity to a taller structure, hedge, or tree(s)

3 x stainless steel legs 120mm in length (are suitable for a standard chimney pot, however, if you have an ornamental / decorative chimney pot you may require Longer legs - 235mm in length which are available as an optional extra)
3 x steel claws to grip the inside of the chimney pot
3 x wing nuts to attach legs to main body of chimney cowl.
How to Install:
The SHL Static Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl 8"" incorporates a simple yet effective system of attaching closely to a chimney pot.
The three claws grip the inside of the chimney pot.
The three strapping legs are positioned outside the chimney pot.
Claws & strapping legs are held in place by 3 wing-nuts & a tightly fitting strapping band.
There is no drilling or measuring involved in fitting this chimney cowl. A screwdriver is the only tool required.
