Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy

Please find details below of Sheahan's Homevalue returns, refunds and exchange policies.

Returns

You may return products within 30 days of purchase, which includes the statutory 14-day EU cooling-off period.

Cooling-Off Returns (Change of Mind – Within 14 Days)

If you cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods:

  • We will refund the full purchase price.

  • We will also refund the standard outbound delivery cost paid at checkout (excluding special freight pallet & bulky-item delivery services).

  • You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless they are faulty, damaged, or not as described.

  • Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the goods back.

Returns After 14 Days (Up to 30 Days)

For change-of-mind returns made between day 15 and day 30:

  • We will refund the product value only.

  • You are responsible for the cost of returning the item.

Condition of Returned Goods

To be eligible for a return, items must:

  • be unused and in the same condition as received

  • include all original packaging, accessories, and components

Tracked Returns

We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured return service, as responsibility for the goods remains with the customer until they are received by us.

Workwear Bundles

  • Refunds: Bundles must be returned in full.

  • Exchanges: Only the item being exchanged needs to be returned.

Faulty, Damaged, or Not as Described

If your item arrives:

  • faulty

  • damaged

  • incomplete

  • or not as described

We will:

  • cover all return or collection costs,

  • provide a replacement or full refund at no expense to you.

Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • intimate or sanitary products

  • gift cards

  • hazardous materials

  • flammable liquids or gases

Bulky / Pallet Deliveries

If goods require bulky or pallet freight:

  • Returns may incur higher handling and logistics costs.

  • Return fees are generally similar to the original shipping cost paid at the time of purchase.

Proof of Purchase

A receipt, order number, or proof of purchase is required for all returns.

Do Not Return Goods to the Manufacturer

All returns must be sent directly to us unless otherwise instructed.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will contact you by email to confirm receipt. We will then notify you whether your return has been approved or rejected based on our return policy.

If your return is approved, your refund will be processed and issued to your original method of payment. Refunds are normally completed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.

Workwear bundles must be returned in full to qualify for a refund.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund within the expected timeframe, please:

  1. Check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your credit card provider, as processing delays can occur.

  3. Contact your bank, as internal processing times may apply.

Exchange Service

If you would like to request an exchange, please email queries@sheahans.ie with the following details:

  • Your order number

  • The item you received

  • The item and size you require

Preparing Your Exchange

1. Condition of Goods

Items must be:

  • unused

  • in their original condition

  • returned with all original packaging, labels, and tags attached

Items that are returned without original tags or packaging may not be eligible for exchange.

2. Returning the Item

Please return the item you wish to exchange to:

Include:

  • Proof of purchase (e.g., invoice or order confirmation)

  • Clear instructions regarding the exchange requested

Processing Your Exchange

Once we receive and inspect the returned item:

  • The replacement will be dispatched

  • Exchanges may take up to 7 working days, depending on stock availability

  • If the requested item is unavailable, we will contact you to offer an alternative

Exchange Timeframe

Our standard exchange period is 30 days from the date of purchase.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer exchanges or refunds after this time.

Christmas Extended Returns

For purchases made during November and December, the return and exchange window is extended until mid-January to allow for Christmas gifting.

Return Shipping Costs

For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item.
Return shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, in which case we will cover the cost.

Delivery Time for Exchanges

Once processed, delivery times for exchanged items may vary depending on your location and stock availability.

Recommended Shipping Method

When returning items, we strongly recommend:

  • using a tracked shipping service, or

  • purchasing postal insurance

This is because responsibility for the goods remains with the customer until the return is received by us.
