Should not be used with Anthracite fuel or fuels high in sulphuric acid.
The Spinner Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl 8"" must not be used on a chimney shorter than 18 feet
Will not prevent a downdraught if the chimney is more than 4 feet lower than the apex of the roof or 4 feet lower and in close proximity to a taller structure, hedge, or tree(s).
This Spinner Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl 8"" will not prevent a draughting problem when there is no wind if the problem still exists when there is no wind (in conditions such as cold, calm and frost) the problem is a lack of draught (not a downdraught) and an electrical chimney cowl is required such as the Super C Electric Fan Cowl. No anti downdraught chimney cowl can solve a lack of draught.

Fitting:
Will fit most standard chimney pots - the Spinner Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl 8"" base diameter is 8""; or 200mm. To fit the Spinner Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl 8"" to a 6""; chimney pot a 6""; Spinner Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl 8""Adapter must be purchased.
The Spinner Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl is very easy to install only a screw driver is required. Fitting instructions supplied with each product. How to Install:
The Spinner Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl 8""incorporates a simple yet effective system of attaching closely to a chimney pot or Spinner Adapter.
The three claws grip the inside of the pot / adapter
The three strapping legs are positioned outside the pot / adapter
Claws & strapping legs are held in place by 3 wing-nuts & a tightly fitting strapping band.
There is no drilling or measuring involved in fitting this Spinner Anti Downdraught Chimney Cowl 8"". A screwdriver is the only tool required.
